The Ventura Community Park offers a state of the art swimming facility including a water park and also features a fitness track for jogging and exercising.
Hiking is always an option with literally hundreds of miles of trails located in the nearby Los Padres National Forest and along the coast. The Channel Islands National Park also offers lots of trails for hiking while enjoying one of the most pristine environments to be found in California.
Kayaking or canoeing are great options in the Ventura Harbor while deep sea boats can whisk you away to scuba dive or try your luck at fishing. Parasailing, surfing and kite boarding are great ways to get your feet wet while enjoying some of the best surf in the country. No wonder Ventura has been featured in Outside magazine and National Geographic Traveler as an outdoor adventure travel destination.
